Jillian is on a home trial...
Meet Jillian- Jillian is a female possible Maltese/Poodle mix Silver in color, in which she gets from the poodle side. She is about 1 year old and about 10 lbs in weight. Jillian has got a heart wrenching story. She was on the street, no one could catch her, her fur was a filthy matted mess. The people the the neighborhood were so mean to her, calling her Chupacabra. How MEAN is that. Our volunteer got wind of this story, and went to see if she could help... Time went by and finally she was caught. WHY because she was deathly ill by now with an infection in her uterous that would have killed her in another week or two. She had what is call Pyometria. Her womb had become completely infected after she went through a heat cycle. We seriously did not know if she was going to make it. And looking at her we thought she was in her teens. She is only about a year old, unbeknownst to us. She was so abused and neglected that she was fearful of anyone trying to touch her. That is changing, soooooo very much. Her foster has brought her through her fear and she is now able to let people touch and hold her. She is shy of course, but she is coming back as a trusting little girl. I might add too, that she is much more beautiful in person. It was hard to photo her as she was afraid. I just love this little girl, she will lean into you to get reasurance of her safety. Love her.. Jillian is vaccinated, fecal tested, de-wormed, micro-chipped and spayed.

Meet Snuggles, a 11 week old, 8 lb., male, possible boxer/pit mix. He is a typical happy go lucky little pup who seems to have fun where ever he goes. And just look at that adorable little face!! But Snuggles has a bit of a sad story.... We found Snuggles at a high kill shelter in the hospital ward due to a missing eye. We saw this adorable, sweet little boy and just knew he had to get out of there. He was all alone, scared and looked so sad!! We took him to our vet who said he may have been born with only one eye. (Poor Baby) We are going to do surgery when he gets a bit older and is ready. (Doggies911 rescue will pay for the surgery) He has adjusted with one eye and gets around just fine. He is good with cats and gets along with other dogs his size. We don't expect Snuggles to get very big, maybe 35-40 lbs when full grown. If you love cute adorable Boxer/Pit mix's, than Snuggles may be the dog for you. We are looking for someone with Bully breed experience even though he will be small in size. Please come to meet him in Person, once you hold him in your arms, you will fall in love as we did! He is up to date on vaccinations, fecal tested, de-wormed, micro-chipped, and will be neutered soon.

Cinder is on a home trial...
Meet Cinder, a 15 lb., 1 yr,
old, Female, Poodle/Schnauzer mix. AKA
(Schnoodle)!! Cinder is a beautiful, sweet little girl
that we found at the Harbor Shelter. We were sent a plea of help from a
friend that volunteers there and told us Cinder was a Shelter favorite. We
went to meet her and saw for our self just how sweet and adorable she was!!
. She is now with us and we just adore her. Cinder enjoys other
dogs, loves children, and cant wait to snuggle in a lap!!
She is as sweet as they come and very well behaved. This little girl is
going to make a wonderful, loyal companion!! We believe she would also
make a wonderful therapy dog. Cinder has a bit of a limp from her front
leg, we had it checked out with our vet and took x rays, he said it is an
old injury already healed and will more than likely go away
in time. If you are looking for a no issue dog,
than Cinder is the girl for you. Please come to meet her in
person, Cinder will love the attention!

Meet Otis, he
is a 3 lb. Chihuahua that was found on the freeway. Either tossed out
of a car or hit coming onto it. He needed on leg amputated, and upon
further xrays he was found to have multiple fractures in his hind
quarters... Not only that, once his fractures heal he will need double
Luxating Patella surgeries. He is living the good life with his foster.
Looking healthy by all appearances, until he walks. (((UPDATE-3-7-12))))Otis
has had his first knee surgery. We had to wait for his fractures in his
legs to heal as he is such a little guy. Its been about 2-3 weeks since
his surgery date.
